Freeing The Voice
Freeing The Voice
A Workshop Series that explores Voice, Breath, Movement and Expression based on the Feldenkrais Method
This series of workshops will delve into exploring the voice and it’s expression through the practice of a series of lessons that focus on the breath, sound emission, and the body as a whole.
In the workshops you will practice Awareness Through Movement lessons that combine movement, sound, and imagination allowing you to:
- Explore relevant aspects of breathing;
- Become aware of habitual patterns that interfere with the breathing and voice and learn more efficient ones;
- Reduce effort and experience freer, easier, and lighter breathing and sound emission.
- Free the ribcage and diaphragm;
- Reduce jaw-related tension and discomfort;
- Improve coordination between the head/neck and chest;
This series is aimed at actors, singers, musicians who wish to acquire new tools to enrich their creative practices, as well as anyone interested in learning through the conscious experience of movement and sound. No previous experience with the Feldenkrais Method is necessary.
